I thought this was funny…..hope you like it too…
A couple made a deal that whoever died first would come back and inform the other of the afterlife.
Their biggest fear was that there was no afterlife.
After a long life together, the husband was the first to die.
True to his word, he made contact,
”Connie… Connie.”
“Is that you, Joe?”
“Yes, I’ve come back like we agreed.”
“That’s wonderful! What’s it like?”
“Well, I get up in the morning, I have sex. I have breakfast and then it’s off to the golf course. I have sex again, bathe in the warm sun and then have sex a couple of more times.
Then I have lunch (you’d be proud – lots of greens) another romp around the golf course, then pretty much have sex the rest of the afternoon. After supper, it’s back to the golf course again. Then it’s more sex until late at night. I catch some much needed sleep, and then the next day it starts all over again.”
“Oh, Joe you surely must be in Heaven!” Read the rest of this entry »

Hazards
Hazards may come in different forms such as trees, high cut grass areas, sand bunkers and water which all serve as a deterrent to getting the balls into the holes.
These hazardous areas are the most feared on the part of the golfers because it is assumed that if a golfer’s ball has fallen into one of the hazards, it may make a difference in winning the game or not. Read the rest of this entry »

I signed up for Andy Brown’s “Rules of Golf – questions and answers” a little while ago and ever since I have received each day a question related to the rules of golf.
Sounds boring?
It’s not because the most interesting – and best – bit is that you get the question one day and the answer the next.
This gives you time to think what you would have done in a particular situation or to try to find the answer from the rule book.
It certainly gets the grey cells working overtime as there are some real posers.
The answer comes with the next question on the following day.
Take a look yourself. Go to…

and I’m sure you will be as ‘hooked’ as I am.

Structure of a Golf Course
So let’s look at the golf course in more detail as it is designed primarily to take on all the activities related to golfing.
The land area where golf is played consists of several holes, usually from 9 to 18 holes, which the player has eventually to get the hit ball into. The player who gets the ball into these “holes” with the least number of ’shots’ wins the game. Read the rest of this entry »

The game of golf is played on a golf course – obviously. But have you ever thought what goes into making a good golf course? I mean, what makes a good golf course, and what makes a not-so-good golf course? While we don’t have the space to go through specific design layouts, we can touch on some of the aspects of a golf course that makes it fun to play yet challenging too. Read the rest of this entry »

Golf is typically played in different ways depending on the players’ agreed type.
In match play, one golfer or a team of golfers play in a tournament and compete with one another. The team who wins the most number of holes wins the competition.
Stroke play, on the other hand, is played differently where the player has to set the golf ball into the respective holes with a fewer numbers of strokes. Fewer strokes before putting the ball into the hole will mean winning the game. This is the game as played by most recreational golfers who are just out to enjoy a good game and some exercise with their friends or club mates. Read the rest of this entry »
